Meeting of Leaders – Farm of the Future
Leadership meetings are important because they can determine the focus of the leadership team and establish frequent contact between different leaders in an organization.
Leadership meetings may improve communication, provide common goals for leaders to achieve and inspire confidence in employees.
In this event a future farm will offset all greenhouse gas measures with eccaplan’s neutral project
The first Brazilian foødtech to create meat from plants with the same texture, succulence and taste as meat.
Future Farm Mission: “exists to disrupt the animal-origin meat industry. Not agents of chaos, we were born convicted and committed agents of change”.
Providing the same experience as animal meat, but without all the suffering and with much less environmental impact.
Future Farm believes that innovation, flavor and sustainability coexist so that new possibilities for conscious consumption are real and sustainable.
Deforestation, forest degradation and land use changes, which include agriculture, contributed to a total of 23% of all accumulated anthropogenic greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in the world between 2007 and 2016.
In Brazil, these activities resulted in 63% of all national emissions in 2015.
Although the Brazilian deforestation rate decreased from 2004 to 2012, these values have started to grow again in recent years. Therefore, there is an urgent need to enhance socio-economic development alternatives that are based on valuing the standing forest, as proposed in REDD+ Projects.
In Vale do Jari, several productive activities take place, from forest management to sustainable agriculture and the extraction of forest products. It is a region of great social and environmental importance which is constantly threatened by human activity. The properties of Grupo Jari are located in this region and with this context.
In order to contain the constant threats to the area, the REDD+ Amapá & Pará Projects seek to generate sustainable management techniques and agro-extractive production, promoting the well-being of communities and making them partners in the maintenance of forest resources.
The Project is located in the city of Almeirim, State of Pará, and borders the State of Amapá to the north. There is a very important role in this region for serving as a home for many rural families and as an ecological corridor. It is surrounded by several Conservation Units (UCs). This place has a rich biodiversity, diverse plant formations and species of ecological and social importance.
Despite its great importance, local biodiversity is constantly threatened by forest degradation. For this reason, the Vale do Jari REDD+ Project has components that seek to prevent deforestation and minimize its socio-environmental impacts, promoting benefits to the climate, communities and biodiversity.
The activities developed by the project are economically viable due to the combination of Sustainable Management activities and the trading of carbon credits through the REDD+ mechanism.
The Vale do Jari REDD+ Project includes 10 of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals, namely:
Goal 1: No poverty
Economic growth must be inclusive to provide sustainable jobs and promote equality.
Goal 2: Zero hunger (No hunger)
The food and agriculture sector offers key solutions for development, and is central for hunger and poverty eradication.
Goal 4: Quality education
Obtaining a quality education is the foundation to improving people’s lives and sustainable development.
Goal 5: Gender equality
Gender equality is not only a fundamental human right, but a necessary foundation for a peaceful, prosperous and sustainable world.
